R: TweeSpeed is a web service giving you the number of tweets sent in the last minute.
Q: Is it accurate ?
R: Probably ... TweeSpeed is based on the public timeline, grab information for the 5 last minutes and calculate an average speed for one minute.
Q: Why ?
R: Why not ? TweeSpeed was built in a couple of hours to test some technologies.
Q: So what about the technologies ?
R: TweeSpeed is developped in Java (JSP), uses the Twitter Java API, and runs on Google App Engine, Ajax, Sitemesh for page decoration,Eclipse as dev tool, Google Visualization API Gauge, ...

R: There is no question 5.
Q: Why the name TweeSpeed ?
R: Try to register a free domain name including "Twitter" or "Tweet" or "twit", ... and you'll understand how it's easy to choose a name ;-)
Q: Do I need to refresh the page ?
R: No, the gauge is refreshing by itself every minute.
